Sharp Dialect

I was approached by the music group Sharp Dialect to photograph their upcoming project, with full creative freedom to take the visuals wherever I felt they could go. After listening to their music, I noticed a moodier, edgier side that I hadn’t really seen from them before, so I leaned into a darker, atmospheric direction with a nightlife-inspired feel. To keep things from feeling too cold or sterile, I brought in bold pops of red to add energy and draw attention back to the group. With dramatic lighting, darker tones, and an editorial approach, the final images felt like a visual extension of the music itself: cool, mysterious, and a little unexpected.
